SUARA NEGERI | JAKARTA — The Anies-Muhaimin Legal Team (AMIN) claims to have asked the Constitutional Court (MK) to present the Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini and the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani as witnesses in the 2024 presidential election dispute trial.
"Yes, that's right [Minister of Social Affairs and Minister of Finance]," said the Head of the AMIN Legal Team, Ari Yusuf Amir, on Thursday (28/3).
Separately, member of the AMIN legal team, Sugito Atmo Prawiro, said that the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Social Affairs needed to be present to get their information regarding social assistance.
"It is being requested. Yesterday we also expressed our desire to propose to the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Social Affairs regarding social assistance," said Sugito.
Sugito said that Risma would be asked for information regarding whether or not she knew about the frequency of providing social assistance, which the government often carried out ahead of the 2024 presidential election voting.
"If you really know who is entitled to receive it, are you involved or not? Because based on the information we got in the RDP at the DPR, he has a budget of Rp. 87 trillion," he said.
AMIN filed a dispute over the 2024 Presidential Election. They challenged KPU Decision No. 360 of 2024 concerning the determination of the vote count results for the 2024 Presidential Election.
The first trial was held on Wednesday (27/3). After the trial, the Head of the AMIN Legal Team, Ari Yusuf Amir, admitted that he planned to present state officials as witnesses at the MK trial.
"When the time comes, we will propose to the Constitutional Assembly to present several officials that we request later, but it is the decision of the Assembly to accept it or not," said Ari at the Constitutional Court Building, Central Jakarta.
The AMIN Legal Team highlighted the deployment of social assistance and 'pork barrel politics' which was said to be used by President Jokowi to support one of the candidate pairs in the 2024 presidential election in a lawsuit hearing at the Constitutional Court yesterday.
AMIN Legal Team member Bambang Widjojanto compared the provision of social assistance in 2022, 2023 and 2024. In January 2023 it was only IDR 3.8 trillion. However, in January 2024 the figure will jump to IDR 12.4 trillion.
